  and i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.

  but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .

  how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

  This is the shit that needs to stop on JWN... I would bet there are many more on the same crossroads, who come to this site for encouragement/association/acceptance/validation/etc. only to be responded by nutsacs who feel the need to "say what needs to be said".

  There were many encouraging posts in this thread, but part of his last post ever was dedicated to this crap.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

  LoisLane - Sounds cool! It is a nice place, like a mini palace. Did you go when they served ice cream?

  Snakes - Hall does not ring a bell, but I'm sure I would kick myself if I see them because I may recognize by face.

  XBEHERe - I heard many rumors. The three most prominent was (1) he fathered the child of a sister. The child was about 12 when he was df'd. The other (2) was stealing funds to pay for vacations and cruises. I know his mother and elders in the hall he was attending were desperately trying to talk to the branch to get him reinstated (it's been almost 12 years), but the brothers up top keeps shutting down the efforts.
